DIVING SITES
At Bubble Scuba Diving School Tamarindo, we take pride in offering the best scuba diving experience possible. Our main destination for diving expeditions is the Catalinas Archipelago. However, on the days when the wind is too strong, (January - March), we might head to Cabo Velas instead. This ensures that we can still provide an amazing diving experience even in less favorable conditions. Book your spot on one of our scuba diving expeditions today!

CATALINAS ISLANDS
Every human being should have the opportunity to discover the magic of the underwater world. The beautiful Catalinas Archipelago is a compound of 17 volcanic rock formations teeming with vibrant and incredible marine life and ecosystems. Because there are no rivers to deliver sludge and rocks during the rainy season, the Catalinas have a year-round diving season, although occasionally from January to March, strong winds may affect visibility and water temperature, which ranges between 23 and 29C (75 and 85F).
After jumping into the Catalinas waters, you will soon find yourself surrounded by colored tropical fish, turtles, eels, octopuses, starfish, enormous schools of fish of different sizes, white tip reef sharks, rays of all kinds, and, when conditions are met, the main attraction: the Oceanic Giant Manta Ray. This amazing creature is attracted by the plankton-rich waters of the Catalinas. Sometimes they interact with divers during the whole dive. Almost every year, but on very rare occasions, whale sharks pay their visits too. During the navigation to and from the Archipelago, it is easy to detect devil rays jumping out of the water, dolphins, and whales. A true paradise!!!!!

CABO VELAS
Cabo Velas is part of the Las Baula Marine National Park. Due to its sheltered position, it is ideal as an alternative to the Catalinas when weather conditions do not allow the navigation to the Archipelago. This protected area offers a diverse underwater landscape, home to a plethora of marine life that will surely leave you in awe. From colorful fish to majestic turtles and white tip reef sharks, octopuses, eels, and more, you'll have an up-close encounter with some of the most fascinating creatures in the ocean.
